A Grande Finale Highlights over the past 10 Years!
As we celebrate our 10th Anniversary over the next year, we thought it would be fun to pay a visit to the past. Below are a few highlights!
• June 1999- Nicole started Pastries by Nicole in a commercial kitchen in Boulder.
• January 2000-Pastries by Nicole landed a wholesale account with Whole Foods Market in Boulder-this was a great way to get exposure and to make money!
•February 2000-1st place honors at the Chocolate Lover’s Fling for Chocolate Artistry.
•December 2000-Pastries by Nicole moved to our current retail location in Louisville and changed the name of the business to better reflect the products- A Grande Finale was born!
•September 2002-Nicole hired Genny Fetherston (then McGregor) to manage the Louisville shop. I think we can all agree that this is the smartest thing I've ever done!
•October 2002-Partnered with Concertos in Chocolate, a local Chocolatier, to supply all of our decadent chocolates and truffles.
•October 2004-Best Plate Presentation at the March of Dimes Star Chefs Event.
•November 2005-A new website is born with the convenience of ordering online as well as offering nationwide shipping.
•November 2005-A new Dessert menu is unveiled offering elegant Mousse Torte Cakes, Tarts, Petite Pastries and Dessert Gift Boxes.
•July 2006-Partnered with Vail Mountain Coffee and Tea Co., a Colorado coffee roaster that is committed to producing the finest quality coffee and tea.
•September 2006-We extended our hours to meet customer needs-we are now open 7 days a week at 7am!
•November 2007- A Grande Finale launches their franchising plans with hopes of locations opening throughout Colorado.
•December 2007-Catered an event via shipping for Mercy Medical Foundation in Nicole's hometown-Williston, North Dakota.
•May 2008-Won 1st and 2nd place at the Denver Chocolate Festival for Best Brownie.
•August 2008- A Grande Finale Patisserie was featured on the Food Network show "Road Tasted with the Neelys"
•September 2008-Received 2nd place honors for Best Bakery on Denver Channel 7’s A-List.
•December 2008-Nicole was featured on Denver’s News 2 This Morning to talk about our 1st annual Rally to Bring Back Real Fruitcake-don’t miss the rally this year!
•February 2009-Our second location opens in Lafayette with extended hours, plated desserts, wine and microbrews.
•May 2009-We host our 1st annual Mother’s Day Dessert Buffet at our Lafayette location.
•June 2009-Celebration for our 10th Anniversary begins!
