A Grande Finale Patisserie® is the creation of Pastry Chef Nicole M Hedlund. Founded in 1999, the business has quickly grown to be one of the leading Patisseries in Colorado. Chef Hedlund brings to her business an impressive background in the culinary world. She established a foundation as a baker’s assistant, graduated with honors from the Disney Culinary Academy, and trained under fine Chefs and Pastry Chefs in many resorts and restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. These experiences have brought her skills to the high levels practiced today. No experience in making desserts? Not a problem! There are two models available for franchisees. One, a Retail Patisserie, where all of the gourmet desserts will be purchased through a company owned A Grande Finale Patisserie® and delivered right to your location. The second, a Full Patisserie, where the franchisee is licensed the use of proven recipes, allowing the preparation of the desserts in their facility.

Qualifications needed to become a Franchisee

• Team leader and player-you will need to lead your team through example, motivation, coaching, mentoring and training to help them succeed.
• People person-this is a customer service focused business and therefore, every franchisee needs to love helping people.
• Enthusiasm-you will need to motivate customers to purchase, employees to perform and create a general feeling of excitement within your franchise.
• Great work ethic-hard working, strong sense of responsibility, growth and adventure.
• Desire and financial capacity to own and operate a retail business.
• Commitment to creating and selling delicious, high quality products.
• If awarded a full Patisserie, you will need to have certified pastry and baking skills.

Types of Franchises available

There are two models available. The type of franchise you will be awarded is based on previous experience and professional skills.

Retail Patisserie
This is the most desired type of franchise, as it requires no previous experience in making desserts or pastries. The Retail Patisserie franchisor will purchase all of their pre-made desserts and sauces from a company owned A Grande Finale Patisserie®. Franchisees will order desserts on a weekly basis and they will be delivered fresh, as needed, to their locations.

Full Patisserie
Owners of our Full Patisserie will make some, or all, of their desserts on site using our proven recipes and systems. They are still able to purchase some desserts from a company owned A Grande Finale Patisserie® if desired. This type of franchise will require the franchisee to have had previous baking, pastry and decorating skills. We will not award this type of franchise to anyone wanting to learn the skills necessary to become a pasty chef.

Investment

The amount of investment depends on the model you are awarded. The following is brief breakdown of investment costs. This information will be covered fully in our UFDD documents.

Retail Patisserie

Locations

We are currently accepting application for opening A Grande Finale Patisseries® within the state of Colorado.

Steps to becoming A Grande Finale Patisserie® Franchisee

1. Read through all web pages on Franchising.
2. Fill out and return our Franchise Application.
3. Once invited, attend a Discovery Day at the company owned location in Louisville, CO.
4. After attending Discovery Day, you will be given the UFDD. Upon receipt, sign and return the receipt. Federal law requires you to hold and review this document for 14 days before signing a franchise agreement.
5. If you decide to proceed and are approved, a Franchise Agreement will be given to you. This will be signed by all parties, and the franchise fee will be paid.
6. Now the fun begins! Site selection and lease negotiations will commence.
